bricolage brings together artworks and installations that Françoise Dupré made in the late 1990s and early 2000. These works continue to be highly relevant to the artist’s concern with the transformativity of art making in the everyday. The tension between the real and the poetic have also remained an ongoing preoccupation. A source of inspiration was her father’s inventiveness in the making of bird shelters and other poetic DIY gestures.

While developing her studio practice, Dupré became an independent curator. Focussing on contemporary women artists, her curatorial practice investigated issues already underpinning her own practice.
